Okanagan is one of Canada's most popular places to live, by virtue of its sunny warm climate. It has pocket deserts complete with lizards in the south, and warm lakeside slopes with beaches and vineyards all the way up to Vernon. The Shuswaps part of the area is very pretty and is lush with forests and agricultural lands. This area has both spectacular mountain vistas and beautiful lakes, and is a favourite recreational stopping off point for those travelling across Canada.
