Holes range in length from a not so short 141 yards (5th) to a much more lengthy 211 yards (7th), a hole known to send some players reaching for their woods. Easy to walk, the fairways at Aspen Grove Golf Club are level and yield few surprises. Water is in play on four holes, the hazard being most problematic on the 169 yard 6th as it sits immediately in front of the green. The golf course sits adjacent to Vernon Creek where a popular picnic area can be found. Many companies and organizations book tournaments at Aspen Grove and take advantage of this picnic area as a convenient setting for an after tournament barbecue. |

Birchdale can easily be found near the quiet community of Grindrod near Mara Lake. It is bordered on three sides by high forested hills, lending it a quiet, secluded atmosphere. With its fairways offering a good mixture of long and short holes, more than a 9 iron and a putter is required to navigate its 9 holes, and players of all levels can find a challenge here. If you're looking to improve your short game, or simply looking for a quick and enjoyable round of golf, don't pass this gem of a course by. |

Possessing a little something for everyone, Royal York is an extremely varied course with a good mix of challenges. It is described by some as "deceivingly difficult", and the course has a reputation of being able to adapt to the individual play level of almost any golfer. Novice and intermediate players should have few problems at Royal York, as long as they play within their abilities. However, because the course has many possible short cuts to the green, better golfers may be enticed into taking chances in many places. One hole capable of always demanding a golfer's best is Royal York's long 6th. This 518 yard par five has a double dogleg and presents no direct or easy path to the green. The green itself is protected by a bunker to the front left and can be tricky to putt on due to its undulating surface. |

Two creeks wind their way through this relatively flat course, seeking errant golf balls. This course is relatively new.One of Kelowna's most exciting 18 hole golf courses, Shadow Ridge is a superbly conditioned easy to walk golf course that can prove a challenge for any golfer regardless of skill level. A wide variety of holes, excellent greens, water hazards, and majestic willow trees. All to enhance your complete golfing experience. One of the most interesting holes at Shadow Ridge is the sixteenth. A pond intersects the fairway approximately 250 yards from the tee and a creek runs through the approach about 30 yards in front of the green. You need a good drive so you can hit your second shot just before the creek leaving a short pitch to the green. If you hit a great drive you can always tempt fate and try for the green in two. A friendly and professional staff ensures you of a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Full facilities include a progressive pro shop with club and power cart rentals, restaurant and lounge. Shadow Ridge specializes in tournaments for all groups of any size. |
