Okanagan-Shuswap Intown Attractions

Bridge across the mghty Columbia River at Revelstoke

The region spans from Shuswap Lake and the Thompson River in the north, along the Transportation-Canada Highway, and runs south along beautiful Lake Okanagan down to the American border. There is lots to see and do around Okanagan and Shuswaps including attractions like museums, wineries, parks and lakeside-green space, with lots of activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). We even have a page that has tips on hundreds of things to do with kids.

Enjoy the hot sandy Okanagan beaches at Peachland

The area offers a range that guarantees fun for almost anybody. While the north is more rugged, offering a back-to-nature experience, whether in the spectacular mountains near Kamloops or Revelstoke, or houseboating or resting at a cottage along the lake in the Shuswaps around Salmon Arm or Sicamous. Further south, enjoy the fertile green values and warm waters of the Okanagan, with activities centered around Vernon, Kelowna, and Penticton. Further south, experience the heat of Canada's only pocket dessert near Osoyoos just above the US border.
